Exercises to Help Relieve Hand Pain
Hand compression techniques on the Gelliflex® Abacus® can release tension, improve hydration and mobility of muscles and fascia, and increase hand movement and function.
To begin, you can grasp the Abacus or hold it sideways, vertical or angled against something like a table. Start by slowly sliding your hand forward and back between the ball assemblies, experiencing the gentle to moderate sustained compression.
Explore varying your hand position, with slight shifts toward each side of the frame. Keep your fingers and thumb straight, and your wrist neutral.
To add hand motions, slowly slide your hand over one gel-ball (two gel-balls at back of hand) and gently grasp, then open your hand and slide backward.
